Solvian

How we handle
your data.

This policy describes which data Solvian processes, for what purposes, on which legal basis, and which rights you have.

This English version is a translation for your convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.

Version of 25 September 2026.

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Omnilex AG, Hohlstrasse 186, 8004 Zurich, Switzerland.

Please send data protection requests to datenschutz@omnilex.ai.

2. Which data we process

We process data that you actively provide to us, as well as technical data generated when you visit this website.

  • Answers from the Solvian questionnaire (length of marriage, children, living situation, pensions, marital property, context).
  • Contact details (name, email address, optionally phone number).
  • The content of your communication with us and with the guiding legal experts.
  • Technical data such as IP address, user agent and time of access.
  • Usage events (page views, clicks, questionnaire steps, simplified questionnaire answers), loading times, session recordings including visible text and ordinary inputs, and campaign and click identifiers for ad measurement.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • Preparing and conducting the legal first consultation and the guidance until the final divorce decree. The legal basis is the initiation and performance of the engagement (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); revFADP Art. 31(2)(a)).
  • Handling your request and preparing the first consultation. No automatic draft agreement is created via the website.
  • Complying with statutory retention obligations, in particular professional and tax law (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).
  • Security, stability and improvement of the website. The legal basis is our overriding legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Usage analysis and error diagnosis with PostHog and ad measurement with Google Ads. During the deployment phase these services start automatically when a page is loaded.

4. Processors and recipients

To operate Solvian we use carefully selected processors. Contracts under the revFADP and the GDPR are in place with all processors.

  • Vercel Inc. (hosting and delivery of the website).
  • Resend (transmission of your request to our intake team).
  • PostHog (EU hosting for usage analysis and session recordings) and Google (Google Ads ad measurement).
  • The family-law legal experts cooperating with Solvian.

5. Transfers to third countries

Some of the processors named are based in the USA. Transfers take place on the basis of appropriate safeguards, in particular the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, together with additional technical and organisational measures. Where possible, processing in the providers' European data centres is chosen.

6. Retention period

We keep your data for as long as necessary for the respective purpose.

  • Questionnaire answers without an engagement: up to 90 days after receipt.
  • Data relating to an engagement: up to ten years after the engagement ends, in line with professional and tax retention obligations.
  • We store campaign identifiers in the browser for up to 90 days.

7. Your rights

You have the right at any time to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to withdraw any consent given. Please send requests to datenschutz@omnilex.ai.

You can lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, where applicable to you, with the competent supervisory authority in the EU.

8. Cookies and audience measurement

During the deployment phase, PostHog and Google Ads start automatically, without a cookie banner. PostHog records page views, clicks and click maps, loading times, website error messages, the questionnaire steps and session recordings in order to improve the website. This includes the campaign source (e.g. search term and ad identifier) and simplified questionnaire answers such as the package chosen, the number of children or age ranges. Visible text and ordinary inputs, including names, email addresses, phone numbers and free text, may be recorded by PostHog. Event properties and URL parameters are not anonymised by a filter of our own. Password fields remain masked. Console logs and network headers or contents are not recorded. Google Ads records the ad source and confirmed requests. Available campaign identifiers are transmitted with your request. Email addresses, phone numbers and documents are not used for enhanced Google Ads conversions or remarketing.

9. Data security

We take technical and organisational measures in line with the current state of the art to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or manipulation. Transmission is encrypted (TLS).

10. Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy when legal or technical changes require it. The current version is available at solvian.ch/datenschutz (German) and solvian.ch/en/privacy (English translation).
